How do browser tests differ from server probes?
A browser test sends a request from your browser and is affected by local proxies, extensions, networks and target policies. A server probe sends its request from the probe environment. It can help establish reachability there, but cannot represent your exit to that target. Read the observation location and target before comparing IPZOR results.
Why can a website open while its test fails?
Opening a page does not grant a script on another website permission to read its response. CORS response headers control cross-origin script access. Timeouts, DNS, network policies and extensions can also cause failure. If the response cannot be read, retain the error rather than guessing an exit IP or treating a short duration as success.
How can I run a useful comparison?
Test within the same browser session and note the target, time and error type. Change one factor, such as a proxy rule, then test again. Compare with an actual visit to the target. Disabled or unsupported targets should remain untested. One successful request does not guarantee future routing or permission to access content.
