Source Registry

Register a source before it enters the product.

Code licenses, data rights, API terms, public display, caching, and redistribution are different questions. A source is enabled only after its exact purpose passes review.

Source status

Conditional, held, and blocked do not mean live

Every Adapter needs a purpose, field list, revision or snapshot, processing scope, retention rule, and recheck state. An environment variable cannot approve a source by itself.

Bounded public material now

Natural Earth 1:110m: accepted as coarse country-boundary context for Atlas, not network or person-location evidence.
IANA RDAP bootstrap: accepted only to locate an authoritative RDAP service; downstream registry responses do not automatically become publishable.
Cloudflare first-party public pages: support only the bounded Cloudflare / AS13335 profile and retain three fixed sources.

Conditional or held sources

The local MaxMind GeoLite2 Adapter is validated, while Production update, deletion, and runtime proof remain open.
The local GeoNames index retains its snapshot, attribution, and bounded responses; Production activation still requires configuration.
RIR responses, facilities, Provider claims, Community reports, and other network layers remain held when rights or governance are incomplete.

Offline network data

ipverse/as-metadata · CC0-1.0. ASN primary-function classification, not individual residential-line verification.

Tor CollecTor · CC0-1.0. Observed exit addresses; results depend on a fresh local snapshot.

Only public datasets are downloaded. Target IPs are matched locally, without sending them to these providers. A missing list match does not establish a clean IP; ASN category, VPN membership and Tor use are not fraud scores. Registration/location comparison does not prove IP nativeness.
